Collins Aerospace is looking for a Site Quality Manager to join the leadership team at our Miami Gardens Landing Systems Facility.

The primary focus of this role is to provide leadership and guidance on all matters of Quality Management System execution, regulatory compliance, product safety and conformity.

You will be responsible for driving the quality strategy, leadership, and direction for a large site that is rapidly growing.

You will lead and plan objectives and systems for our manufacturing facility. In this role you will drive a passion for Quality and problem-solving strategies of a top-notch team.

This position works onsite in Miami Gardens, Florida.

What You Will Do :

• Oversight of the entire Quality organization which supports Miami Gardens operations and compliance of products and processes in the production of aerospace products.
• Effective management of the facility Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring the system is established, well maintained and improved upon.
• Effective management of the aviation Safety Management System (SMS) ensuring the system is compliant to regulatory requirements, maintained and improved upon.
• Effective management of regulatory compliance for FAA / EASA / UKCAA repair station certifications.
• Implement and maintain customer approvals (Boeing, DCMA, Lockheed)
• Acts as the functional customer facing management representative responsible for compliance of products and processes.
• Direct and regularly interface with receiving inspection, quality engineers, NDT inspection, operations and engineering staff.
• Act as a key internal consultant to the leadership of the business on all Quality matters.
• Analyze quality metrics to ensure cross-functional resources are properly aligned to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and create and communicate quality improvement plans.
• Ensure timely response to customer inquiries to improve customer satisfaction and collaborate with operations, engineering, programs, and supplier quality teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide expertise in Quality Assurance and process improvement tools / methods and interface with production, engineering, and other functions to conduct root cause corrective action analysis for problem-solving and process improvement.
• Ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies.
• Support the daily activities of the functional Quality organization ensuring adequate resources are in place to support daily operations, cross training is happening to maximize the Quality staff.
• Develop, coach, mentor and manage staff. Establish goals and develop measurable metrics to gauge achievement against goals.
• Leads the identification and management of risk in product manufacturing, driving utilization of PPAP core elements (e.

g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).

• Communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership.
• Travel up to 5% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications You Must Have :

• Typically requires a University Degree in Engineering and minimum 12 years prior relevant manufacturing experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• 8 or more years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Manufacturing environment experience in Aerospace or Automotive
• 5 years of management experience
• Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies and lean practices.
• Experience interpreting engineering technical data, such as manufacturing, part drawings and / or industry standards to provide guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Experience with statistical process control.

Qualifications We Prefer :

• University Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred.
• ASQ "Certified Quality Engineer" certification an asset.
• Quality standards including AS9110.
• SAP and / or other MRP programs.
• Shainin Red X, Six Sigma, Lean, CORE and / or ACE experience.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced matrixed team environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities
• Strong PC skills with proficiency in the following MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proven leadership skills with ability to develop, enhance and support effective teamwork.
• Experience with managing and working in a matrix organization (dual reporting relationship to Quality function and Local Management).
• Subject matter expert in RCCA and escape management
• Experience as aerospace lead assessor / auditor.
