Registered Nurse (Special Procedures)
Hourly Rate : $30.00 - $47.00 (depending on experience) Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Assistance : Discussed at interview
We're seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Special Procedures!
In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care by providing pre- and post-operative assessments, monitoring patients during procedures, and assisting healthcare providers.
What you'll do :
- Patient Care : Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and deliver care according to established protocols.
- Procedures : Assist with a variety of procedures, including GI diagnostics, therapeutics, conscious sedation, pain management, IV therapy, blood transfusions, bronchoscopy, and minor surgery.
- Communication & Collaboration : Educate patients and families about procedures and treatments, collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Documentation : Accurately document care and procedures in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Quality & Safety : Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Continuous Learning : Stay up-to-date on the latest clinical practices through ongoing education.
We're looking for someone who :
- Holds a valid ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) license.
- Possesses current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification and is able to obtain ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 90 days of hire.
- Has experience in gastroenterology, pulmonology, and / or conscious sedation (preferred but not required).
- Demonstrates strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Is a team player with excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Illinois state licensure required.
