Our Impact :

The Investments and Capital Markets (I&CM) Derivatives Operations Team is responsible for back office activities supporting derivatives trading.

We perform trade confirmations, process margin movements daily, settle payments, and work together closely as a team to complete our daily functions.

Your Impact :

In this role you will be responsible for the following :

  • Trade processing, confirmation and settlement.
  • Processing of incoming / outgoing wire activity.
  • Tracking and resolution of trade fails.
  • Reconciliation and validation of trade data.
  • Serve as point of contact with external vendors, and manage external clearing and custodial relationships.
  • Maintain internal controls across the full trade life cycle.
  • Partner with technology groups to identify workflow efficiency opportunities and enhance straight through processing.
  • Provide resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable.
  • Work under limited direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives.
  • Represent the organization as the principal point of contact on inquiries and often perform project leadership role.
  • Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.
  • Serve as an operational liaison for trading staff, counterparties, brokers, clearing agents, internal business areas, and internal / external auditors.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years related experience in capital markets operations or finance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience;

advanced studies / degree preferred.

  • Strong ability to balance baseline activities and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, teammate with good people and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously under pressure situations with sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with trading personnel, technology staff, accounting, audit, and legal.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
