We are seeking a high-performing Executive Chef to direct, administer, and control all culinary operations as we embark on a major facility transition. Our high-profile sports stadium is currently undergoing a significant multi-million dollar renovation, and this role is instrumental in defining our new, elevated food and beverage experience.
This is a critical leadership opportunity to design, implement, and direct all culinary and stewarding operations for a world-class sports and entertainment venue. The successful candidate will not only manage daily operations but will also be a core partner in the transition to the renovated facility, ensuring a seamless launch of our new concepts. Opening experience isn’t a must but is definitely a plus!
Key Areas of Responsibility
Your leadership will drive success across three primary functions, with a special focus on the launch of our new program :
- Culinary
- Work closely with corporate chef on new recipes and concepts, serving both high-volume concessions and premium suite dining.
- Collaborate closely with the management team and construction partners on kitchen flow, equipment sourcing, and final concept implementation for the new facility.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure the consistent quality, presentation, and security of all products across all new and existing venues within the stadium. You must demonstrate expert product knowledge and strict adherence to food safety protocols.
- Team Leadership & Culture
- Talent Management : Take full ownership of the culinary staff—a team that will likely be growing and evolving with the new facility. This includes interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Team Development : Foster a professional, collaborative, and disciplined kitchen culture dedicated to excellence in a high-pressure, event-driven environment.
- Supervisory Oversight : Carry out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Financial & Operational Control
- Budget Management : Aggressively manage all expenditures, specifically maintaining food, labor, and other kitchen costs at or below budgeted levels across a complex, multi-concept operation.
- Productivity : Make effective use of all available resources (time, labor, and materials) to maximize operational productivity during both the transition and post-renovation phases.
- Collaboration : Maintain open and consistent communication with the General Manager and Regional Executive Chef regarding financial performance and the successful execution of the renovation timeline.
Qualifications for Success
We are looking for a highly seasoned leader who thrives in a demanding, large-scale environment and is excited by organizational change.
Experience : A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, complex operation, with significant experience in a stadium / arena, convention center, or high-volume resort setting.Renovation Experience is a Major Plus : Demonstrated success in launching new concepts or participating in a major venue transition is highly valued.Skills : Thorough knowledge of hot, cold food, and pastry preparation. Proficiency in all standard kitchen equipment and strong financial / mathematical skills necessary for costing and large-scale inventory control.Attributes : Exceptional communication skills. Physical ability to perform duties in a dynamic environment, including managing varied temperature ranges and high-pressure event timelines.Compensation and Benefits
