Responsibilities Assistant Director of Assessment & Referral Full-Time 10K Sign-On / Retention Bonus! The Assistant Director of Assessment & Referral will assist the Department Director with training, staff supervision, staff scheduling, as well as assist with the oversight and performance of intake calls, consumer assessments and consumer triage to the most appropriate, least restrictive level of care through collaborative efforts with attending physicians, case managers and clinical treatment team members.
The Assistant Director of Assessment & Referral in cooperation with the Department Director assumes responsibility for the admission process including third party pre-certification and coordination with referral sources.
The Assistant Director of Assessment & Referral may be required to assist the Department Director with providing new employee orientation related to consumer rights for admission, admission processes, initial assessments, and community resources.
Additionally, the position assures compliance with all COBRA related assessments and triage. A minimum of five (5) years experience in the evaluation and treatment of mental illness is required. A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge of the State of Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Act and ability to effectively work with consumers of any age population and demonstrate an understanding of normal growth and development, as well as developmental stages is required.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION : LSW or LPC is REQUIRED, LCSW or LCPC strongly preferred. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
