Unit Details :

Beds : 5 | Ratios : 1 RN : 2 patients

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

EMR : Paragon-Hospital; Allscripts TouchWorks-Clinis

Charge Nurse : None | Nurse Aides : As needed

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend; 7 major holidays scheduled

Scrubs : RN – Royal Blue | CNA – Steel Gray

Telemetry / Monitor Techs : Yes

Skills & Equipment :

Drips : Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, Vasopressors

Ventilator : Hamilton C-1

Common Diagnoses : Stroke (TPN), STEMI, non-STEMI, other critical care cases

Hospitalists / Intensivist : In-house coverage

IV Team : None

Respiratory Therapy : 24 / 7; on-call after 6pm (10-min response)

Pharmacy : In-house until 10pm; remote after

Shifts :

8-hr : 07 : 00–15 : 30, 15 : 00–23 : 30, 23 : 00–07 : 30

12-hr : 07 : 00–19 : 30, 19 : 00–07 : 30

Floating : Med / Surg floors; 1–2 shift orientation required
