Nursing Director - Medical/Surgical and Oncology Unit (Hiring Immediately)

Job Overview : RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical

Director for our MedicalSurgical and Oncology Unit at Clara Maass Medical

Center in Belleville, NJ. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we

offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. In 2017,

the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a

new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32 bed Intensive

Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration

Area and newly expanded Emergency Department. Qualifications : Required :

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred :

• MedicalSurgical nursing experience and Oncology nursing experience
• Oncology Nursing Certification
• BSN and MSN

Certifications and Licenses Required :

• BLS and ACLS Certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements :

• Day Shift, 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday (salaried position)

Essential Functions :

• The Clinical Director provides nursing care oversight in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• The Clinical Director assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available.
• The Clinical Director is responsible for preventing and reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.

e. damaged floorswallsceiling tilesunsecured areas) and medical errors.

• The Clinical Director is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.
• The Clinical Director is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
• The Clinical Director is responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• The Clinical Director is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient s needs.
