Weekend Nurse (RN or LPN) - Community Crisis Stabilization Unit (CCS)
Job Description :
Weekend Schedule : 16 hours, Sat & Sun (7am-3pm)
Bilingual Candidates Encouraged to Apply (English / Spanish)
The Staff Nurse (RN or LPN) works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team in a crisis stabilization unit. They provide crisis intervention and performs clinical screening / assessments of children and adults' mental health, substance use, and physical health needs.
Responsibilities :
- Collects appropriate assessment and screening information, to include bio-psycho-social information, psychiatric and medication history, and alcohol / drug information
- Establishes & oversees medication administration
- Monitors and records the biomedical status and conditions of all clients admitted, including all observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in the client’s safety status
- Participates in treatment team meetings and assists with development of care plans
- Collaborates with the team in providing health information and maintenance of the medical record
- Monitors the patient milieu for safety issues and assists with promoting a positive therapeutic environment.
- Assists in the admitting, discharging and transferring process.
Qualifications :
- Valid and current Massachusetts licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
- Current certification in CPR
- Bilingual candidates preferred, but not required
