The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery and landscaping equipment to assist in the installation and execution of residential and commercial landscape projects. This position is also responsible for working with the Project Manager and their crew to install and carry out hardscaping and soft scaping projects on an ongoing basis, identifying needs on a jobsite (Garden Bed Installation, Planting / Horticulture, Grading, Sod, Seeding / Overseeding, Artificial Turf, Drainage, Pavers / Slabs, Retaining / Freestanding Wall, Boulder Wall, Landscape Steps, Natural Stone / Paver Edging, Fire Pit), understanding and delegating tasks to crew members, communicating expectations thoroughly, meeting with Supervisor to review jobsite plans, directing the progress of the project, assisting in the installation of all projects, as well as ensuring that a quality job is performed in an effective and professional manner. In-office training and education is provided. This position is applicable in both residential and commercial settings. Out of town travel may be required.

Qualifications :

• 2+ years of experience operating construction or landscaping equipment.
• Valid Driver's License (required).
• MN DOT Medical Card (required or ability to obtain).
• Ability to read and follow site plans, work orders, and instructions.
• Physical capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs.
• Strong awareness of site safety and hazard prevention.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams or crews in a landscaping or construction environment.

Job Type :

Full-time (Seasonal) 40+ hours / week

Salary : $26-30 / hour
