Position Overview :

Jurata Thin Film is seeking an experienced Senior Research Associate to join our world-class company. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team developing disruptive technology to change the way critical therapeutics are distributed around the world.

The incumbent will support formulation platform development by performing formulation screening, stability studies and biochemical analysis.

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally across the organization and needs to be a fast-learner, self-motivated, accountable and able to perform work independently, under the guidance of senior scientists.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform formulation screening under the direction of Principal Scientist
• Perform in vitro experiments to characterize candidate formulations and determine the stability and efficacy profile rapidly and comprehensively.
• Characterize formulations and films using a variety of bioanalytical techniques (ELISA, western blot, histochemical staining, cell culture, qPCR / PCR, transfection / transduction, RNA extraction / cDNA synthesis, Luciferase and plate imaging-)
• Prepare data summary presentation, compiling data and authoring technical reports and present data at research meetings
• Communicate effectively with scientists, project managers, and colleagues

Qualifications :

• B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant scientific discipline with 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience
• Must have hands-on experience with formulation development and cell culture and in vitro assays
• Experience in molecular biology and biochemical analytical techniques
• Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams
• Prior experience working in pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable
• Ability to quickly adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial early-stage environment
• A strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
