Job Summary :
This is a support position for the SUNY Upstate Brain Tumor Laboratory and Biorepository. The Aide will carry out a variety of support functions such as :
1) wet-lab assistance (preparing glassware, checking cultured cells, maintaining laboratory stocks, ;
2) tumor bank organization (data entry, validation of medical reports); and
3) inventory management (orders, reagents, and tissue specimens).
After a year of successful lab work, skilled Aides will be offered the opportunity to engage in research projects if they have the interest and ability to do so.
Minimum Qualifications :
Must be a current student enrolled at Upstate Medical University and approved for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate.
