Job Summary : Provides leadership for the Center for Pathway Experiences. Promotes student participation in pathway experiences, such as internships and other fieldwork.
Cultivates internal and external collaborations that advance pathway experiences. Collects and uses assessment data to monitor student participation and student learning in pathway experiences.
Stays abreast of best practices and legal guidelines related to internships and pathway experiences.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develops internal and external collaborations that advance student pathway experiences.
- Initiates and maintains strong working relationships within and outside of the University community, including students, faculty, staff, administrators, and employers.
- Counsels students on strategies to search and secure opportunities and offers resources listing available postings.
- Reviews pathway opportunities regularly and shares with relevant stakeholders.
- Promotes increased student awareness and participation in pathway experiences through marketing and presentations.
- Collects assessment data and develops an annual report for The Center for Pathway Experiences.
- Manages pathway scholarship program, including marketing and application processes.
- Stays abreast of trends, best practices, and legal guidelines related to internships and pathway experiences.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field. Experience working with students in career counseling and development, job placement, and / or employer relations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience posting to social media platforms.
- Skill in managing time effectively.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s degree in a related field; Knowledge of legal regulations related to pathway experiences; Experience using Qualtrics survey software;
Experience maintaining websites.
