Distinguished Engineers are expected to lead through technical contribution. You will operate as a trusted advisor for our key technologies, platforms and capability domains, creating clear and concise communications, code samples, blog posts and other material to share knowledge both inside and outside the organization.

You will specialize in a particular subject area, but your input and impact will be sought and expected throughout the organization.

In this role, you will work with our Operational Excellence and Cloud Compliance teams, as well as the entire Distinguished Engineering community at Capital One.

You will articulate patterns and standards for ensuring our applications embody non-functional requirements like reliability, observability, data protection and scalability.

You will then lead the implementation of technology to automatically scan, verify and audit compliance with those standards across our entire cloud footprint.

5+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies5+ years of experience in designing and building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure)AWS Certifications Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.
