Ophthalmic Technician
Full Time – 80 hours / pay

8 : 00AM – 5 : 00PM M-F
Scheurer Health, is seeking a full time Ophthalmic Technician.
Responsibilities :
- Perform various tests and procedures to evaluate the patient's vision and eye health
- Measure visual acuity and test eye muscle function
- Administer eye drops to dilate pupils
- Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Provide patient education on eye care and treatment options
- Assist ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye diseases and disorders
- Document patient information and test results accurately
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited ophthalmic technician programCertification as an ophthalmic technician (COT) preferredStrong attention to detail and excellent communication skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentExperience with ophthalmic equipment and proceduresKnowledge of medical terminology and anatomyAbility to maintain patient confidentialityBenefits :
