UNHW Family of 2 looking for a private chef
Chef must be organized and flexible, able to turn a dinner for 2 into a dinner for 12 on short notice (6 hours) without an issue
Chef Schedule and Responsibilities
- Off on Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Chef's Duties :
- In charge of house staff and kitchen operations.cooking for 2 with lots of guests and dinner parties.
- Responsible for supplying staff meals (not necessarily cooking them).
- Cleans stoves and countertops; staff cleans pots, pans, and dishes unless unavailable.
- Cuisine Preferences :
- Likes Italian and steaks, but not excessively.
- Prefers low butter in cooking.
Meal Preferences and Routines
- Breakfast :
- Mrs. : Weekly breakfast is a coffee cake with fruit (housekeeper brings this).
- Mr. : Occasionally has an egg or omelette at 9 AM; will request ahead of time.
- Chef Makes Danish croissants.
- No breakfast or lunch when hosting big parties.
- General week : Will text the night before about breakfast for Mr. (9 AM if needed).
- No regular lunch is served.
- Dinner :
- Typically dines out 1-2 nights per week.
- During Malibu stays (Friday Sunday) : Dinners usually consist of 2-3 salads, a pasta, and a protein.
- Beverly Hills (Wednesday Friday) : May have lunch in Beverly Hills and dinner in Malibu.
- Weekends :
- Prepares pastries and stocks scone dough for the week.
- During the week, makes laminated doughs for future use.
Seasonal Schedule
- Winter : Mostly in Beverly Hills.
- Malibu Dinners : Typically 2-3 salads, a pasta, and a protein.
Special Events and Travel
- Travel :
- NYC : Typically less than a week, 1x per month or every 6 weeks. Housekeeper cooks or dines out. Might take the new chef but not necessary.
- Parties :
- Hosts 3-4 larger events per year, with 30-40 guests.
- Regular dinner parties for 8 are plated, with the chef having the freedom to plan the menu.
- Bigger parties : Chef will create a menu for approval.
- Jewish holidays, Thanksgiving, and a few dinners for high schools around May.

Additional Duties
- Chef :
- Shops for all cosmetics, creams, and toiletries.
- Stocks food for housekeepers.
Typical Hours
- In-town : 9-11 AM to 9 PM.
- Out-of-town or dining out : 9-9 : 30 AM to 4-5 PM.
- Malibu : Schedule varies.
