Position : Director of Business Development (Railroad Industry)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and driven Director of Business Development to spearhead our client initiatives in the railroad industry.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sales and business development, bolstered by a successful track record in the railroad sector.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth within the railroad industry.
  • Identify and seize new business opportunities by forging relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Cultivate and expand a robust network of contacts within the industry to bolster strategic partnerships and business opportunities.
  • Lead the sales team in formulating and implementing sales strategies that surpass revenue objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the delivery of premium quality services to clients.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Craft and present compelling business proposals, presentations, and contracts to potential clients.
  • Monitor sales performance, providing detailed reports and insights to senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry-specific events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services and enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in sales and business development, specifically within the railroad industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the railroad industry and its key players.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain client and industry relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing sales teams.
  • Expertise in strategic planning and execution.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements and industry events.
