Engineer II Java Front-End

Position Description
Our Engineer II is a key member of the engineering staff working on Web solutions ensuring that we provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability.

The ideal candidate has broadtechnical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between, and background in JavaScript, ReactJS, Java, Linux, Microservices, Containers (Kubernetes), and designing, implementing, and maintaining front-end UIs.
Position Responsibilities
As an Engineer II, you will :
Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems
Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle
Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, ReactJS, Java, Linux, Microservices, Containers (Kubernetes)
Collaborate as a team and work with minimal oversight
Qualifications
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, JSX, Java, C++, Python or C# including object-oriented design
Understanding of micro-services architecture and extensible REST APIs
In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms
Understanding of DevOps Concepts and Cloud Architecture
Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
Understanding of application monitoring tools and performance assessments
Understanding of security protocols and products : Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth
Understanding of Kubernetes or willingness and ability to learn
Understanding of continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
Understanding of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)
Understanding of Web Application Frameworks
Understanding of securing web applications
Strong problem-solving ability
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
Experience
2+ years of professional software development experience within Web frameworks / SDKs / languages
2+ years of experience with architecture and design
2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information System or equivalent education or work experience
Annual Salary
$71,000.00 - $157,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate / annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
