This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is very versed in all accounts receivable (AR) and can assist with various plans as needed, specifically for ASC follow-up.

In Office for 90 Days, Then Remote

This is a TEMP-TO-HIRE position, with the potential to transition to a Direct Hire after just one month. Candidates must reside in Georgia and have orthopedic experience.

Summary

As a Patient Account Representative, you will be responsible for a variety of medical office and clerical tasks related to claims processing.

You will contact patients and responsible parties to resolve past-due accounts, investigate account status, and initiate collection procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Timely and appropriate resolution of all assigned accounts for third-party payors and / or patients to manage account receivables balances.

Identify and communicate AR trends, denial issues, or irregularities impacting resolution of AR or daily production workflow to supervisor and team members, and recommend resolutions.

Responsible for accurate and timely charge capture for clinic and hospital-based services.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third-party billing and reimbursement, clinic's financial policies, and industry knowledge.

Prepare and submit daily productive reports as required.

Complete annual compliance and regulatory requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum 5 years of medical billing and account follow-up experience.

Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and the use of modifiers preferred. Familiar with CMS 1500 / UB04 claim form completion, knowledge of Medicare, Managed care, and commercial insurance products and plans.

Knowledge of physician billing and / or collections. Typing speed 55 wpm and the ability to use a calculator. We are looking for someone very versed in all AR and able to assist with various plans as needed.
