Certified Medical Assistant

CSI Companies is currently seeking candidates for Certified Medical Assistant contract and contract to hire positions with well-known healthcare clinics located in Florida.

We are seeking candidates in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and the surrounding markets for immediate hire.

Eligible applicants will be Nationally Certified and hold an active license or be willing to get nationally certified within 90 days of employment.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19.

Compensation : $16-$22+ hourly based on experience

Shift : 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties within the scope of a Certified Medical Assistant (procedures, injections, EKGs, phlebotomy).
• Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.
• Processes appropriate documents in an organized and accurate fashion.
• Provides business services for patients and the healthcare system. Duties include patient registration, posting charges and payments, insurance knowledge, appointment scheduling, telephone protocols and assisting patients as needed.
• Greeting and Rooming patients
• Preparing patients for their visits by providing gowns and drapes, arranging examination room instruments, taking vital signs, verifying and documenting patient's history by interviewing patient and entering information into their chart
• Assisting providers during examination, preparing laboratory specimens and performing basic tests on the premises, disposing of contaminated supplies, sterilizing equipment
• Educating patients by providing pre and post procedure information and brochures
• Entering and recording clinical information in the chart on behalf of the provider
• Preparing supplies, assisting in the positioning of the patient, creating a sterile field in procedures
• Providing post procedure information, following up with patients via telephone

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MA diploma from credentialed school is required
• Certified or registered medical assistant
• 1-2 years of EMR experience
• Experience with appointment scheduling, patient check out, collecting co payments, working closely with the referral coordinators & insurance knowledge - recognizing HMO's (insurance verification will not be required)
