Position
Maintain fleet to confirm with company standards ensuring preventive maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections as per Company standards.
- Perform repairs as per Company standards
- Maintain work orders accurately and on time
- Fill out DVIR books accurately and on time
- Fill out inspection sheets accurately and on time
- Maintain work area clean
- Ensure that buses are repaired and maintained clean and presentable to the highest standards
- Able to drive Service Truck for occasional Road Calls
- Make sure that all work is done properly to ensure minimum duplicate repair
- Repair air brake systems
- To carry out other tasks as may be reasonably requested
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of air brake systems
- Able to follow instructions and read wiring diagrams
- Able to perform root cause analysis
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Able to work with limited supervision at times
- Work well with others in a team environment, including drivers and other company personnel
- Legally able to work in the United States.
- At least 2 years of Relevant Diesel / Heavy Truck / Bus Mechanic experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- ASE Certification is a plus

Working Hours and Conditions
- Must have a flexible schedule with availability to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and / or holidays
- Must follow COVID-19 related guidelines and BBT internal protocols at all times
- Must have own tools
Physical Requirements
- Job requires employee to remain on his or her feet for continuous periods of time without being able to leave the work area.
- Job requires lifting, carrying or pushing / pulling up to 20 lbs.
