Dorsey & Whitney LLP seeks a tax associate to join the Tax, Trusts & Estates group in our Seattle office. This associate will work on a wide range of transactional tax matters including structuring and forming business and investment entities, advising on tax issues in domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, restructurings, and equity and debt securities offerings, and advising on renewable energy projects including development, tax equity financing, purchase and sale transactions.

The following qualifications are required :

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Strong academic performance
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Washington bar admission or the ability to become admitted in Washington

Some experience as a transactional tax attorney is preferred.

For Seattle applicants only, the salary range for this position is $190,000 - $260,000. Pay is determined based on depth of experience in the practice area.

The individual hired for this position may have the option of electing a lower billable-hours track with a proportional reduction in salary.

Associates are eligible to participate in Dorsey’s associate bonus program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
