The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner.
Fill / dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system.

We are hiring for the following Associate Pharmacy Technician positions in the Nutrition Services Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK :
Associate Pharmacy Technician - Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, Variable shift, 40 Hours Per Week

Required Qualifications :
- Diploma or GED
- Alaska Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- National Pharmacy Technician certification (. PTCB) where applicable by state
Preferred Qualifications :
- Coursework / Training : Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for technicians)
- Inpatient experience
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
