Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities
- Assesses, diagnoses, and provides care to general OB / GYN patients.
- Obtains detailed medical history, reviews medical records, and performs appropriate physical examination.
- Orders appropriate lab work and diagnostic imaging
- Performs basic GYN procedures.
- Responds to phone messages from patients and nurse triage.
- Interprets and communicates lab results.
- Partners with patients to provide individualized and appropriate care plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care team.
- Carefully completes all required documentation in a timely fashion.

Essential Functions and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience working as a WHNP in a clinical setting preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Minnesota RN and women’s health nurse practitioner licensures and CPR certification.
- Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
- Strong charting / documentation skills.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
