About The Position
Job Title : Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician Job Specialty : Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist Job Duration : 12 months Shift : 2nd Shift (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM) Saturday / Sunday / Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience preferred License : Not specified Certifications : ASCP Certification preferred Must-Have : Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment- Ability to perform work that requires walking, sitting, and standing most of the time while on duty Job Description : Perform laboratory testing as a generalist in various areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Transfusion Services, Microbiology, Phlebotomy, Virology, Flow Cytometry, and Apheresis- Ensure compliance with laboratory accreditation and inspection standards, including CAP, CLIA, AABB, and FDA- Maintain a focus on patient safety and quality care- Work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment- Adhere to the Standards of Excellence in Attitude, Communication, Responsiveness, Compassion, Teamwork, Ownership, Safety, and Respect- Participate in the ongoing improvement of laboratory procedures and protocols- Provide support for holiday coverage as required
