Cox Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Manager, FacilitiesOperations & Sustainability, a pivotal role that will operateand budget all leased / owned facilities, including retail andadministrative facilities.
This position is responsible for dailyfacility operations, leasing, maintenance programs, facilitycontracts, energy conservation, office equipment, and furnishingsprocurement.
The Manager will play a crucial part in new facilityplanning, design, engineering, acquisition, and build-out, as wellas existing facility modifications or retrofit.
This role willrequire onsite inspections of work and coordination with contractedConstruction or service companies during the work performed.
TheManager will ensure all Cox buildings and facilities comply withall local, state, and federal OSHA facility-related regulations,contributing significantly to our operations andsuccess.
Responsibilities
- Ensuresmaintenance of all assets within the facility and surroundingproperty and the safety of all assigned personnel.
- Coordinates the pre-qualification, bidding, proposalevaluation, and subcontractor selection process for periodicmaintenance contracts and site / facility cleaning.
Ensures costcontrol, quality and completeness of work, and reasonable reactionsto emergencies.
- May develop ROI analysis asit relates to Facility management and ensure approved projects aredocumented with accurate and timely Capital InvestmentRequests
- Coordinates facility managementactivities with Cox Enterprises to ensure decisions are consistentwith existing business plans, visions, and operations.

- MaintainsCritical Building Infrastructure, including UPS, Battery Backups,Generators, and HVAC. Manages vendors, contractors, andprofessional consultants, which may include architectural, pestcontrol, plumbing, landscaping, HVAC, electrical, fire suppressionsystems, employee dining facility, documentproduction / mailroom
- Provide leadership,coaching, and counseling to department members. Includes assigningand developing Team goals, Department goals, and IDP's
- Establishes key delivery dates and oversees projectcompletion through customer occupancy, providing a turnkey solutionto end-users.
- Develop strategic &feasibility studies / analysis and long-range FacilityPlanning.
- May interface with landlords,municipalities, land & property developers, and otherregulatory authorities on easements and right-of-way negotiations.
May engage CEI Legal as necessary.
- Developsand updates budgetary life cycle estimates as needed in support offacility construction and developments.
- Manages and acts as the primary point of contact for in-house anddeveloper representatives regarding construction negotiations andproject development.
- Responds to emergencycalls, assumes lead role in evaluating damages, takes necessarysteps to protect customers, employees, and property, and notifiesleadership per local Escalation Plan.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decreaseturnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperativelyand jointly to provide outstanding customer service.
- Facilitates regular project coordination meetings within-house and developer representatives.
- Review business case analyses to ensure current and futuredevelopment initiatives are correctly aligned with Cox's businessinitiatives and strategies.
- Maintainsdocumentation of Life Safety Systems / Fire Suppressionsystems.
- Coordinates with Risk Management andHuman Resources on BCP, OSHA, ADA, safety, and other relatedfacility matters, including evacuation procedures and naturaldisasters.
- Partners with CEI on contractnegotiation for real estate property-related matters
- Manages vendors, contractors, and professionalconsultants and assures that all contracts, designs, and vendorperformance comply with CCI requirements.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum
- 10 yearsexperience in facility management or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in management or leadrole
- Valid State-Issued driver's license andan acceptable driving record in the home market.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability tomultitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strongmath skills
- Excellent communication skills towork effectively with teams throughout the organization
- Previous experience in construction management, projectmanagement, or facilities management of staff / projects. Excellentwritten and Oral Communication is required to work effectively withteams throughout the organization.
Good working knowledge ofPowerPoint, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and SchedulingSoftware.
Preferred
- Experience managing staff / projects from remotelocations.
- Bachelor's degree in a relateddiscipline
USD 85,500.00- 128,300.00 peryear
Compensation :
Compensationincludes a base salary of $85,500.00 - $128,300.00. The base salarymay vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factorssuch as the ultimate location of the position and the selectedcandidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Position may beeligible for additional compensation that may include an incentiveprogram.
