Candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting.Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes (exceptions apply).
Must be competent in maintaining sterile field. Schedule InformationContract length : 13 weeks.Shifts : 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 1p-1a.
Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion.Floor specific orientation : 2-3 shifts on the floor.
Unit Specific InformationUnit : ED / Trauma.Charge Nurse : 2 Charge RNs - will task or have light patient load.Tele : Phillips monitors, must be able to read strips.
Vents : Managed by RT.Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes, Pharmacist in ER 10hrs / day.RT 24 / 7 : Yes. Additional DetailsCommon diagnosis / Types of patients : Trauma, Burns and Peds transferred out.
IV Team : Core RNs are US trained.Sitter support is provided by 4-PCTs.The hospital has a high volume of psych holds.
