The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Senior Information Security Analyst to our growing Technology division in Seattle, WA. This person will increase the security team's capabilities by offering a well-rounded and deep understanding of security threats and risk mitigation strategies.

Leveraging extensive industry and previous experience, this role provides thorough analysis of complex security issues and possesses hands-on capabilities with current technologies and tools.

Additionally, the senior analyst effectively communicates security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive and informed approach to maturing the security posture.

Some additional responsibilities include :

  • Take lead in response to security incidents, coordinating remediation efforts across teams.
  • Ensure alignment to industry standards and provide input to security strategy development.
  • Contribute to drafting security protocols and take lead on security projects as assigned.
  • Continuously monitor and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, identity and mitigate security risks.
  • Maintain real-time visibility into threat impacts to McKinstry.
  • Development of actionable project milestones that show continuous improvements.
  • Demonstrate effective cross-functional team collaboration and communication.
  • Contribute to planning and execution towards increased security maturity (e.g. compliance, certification)
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • CISSP (or equivalent) certification.
  • Deep knowledge of security frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO, SOC, GDPR).
  • Expertise in threat analysis (identifying, analyzing, mitigating threats).
  • 5+ years' experience with Information Security tools, concepts, and practices.
  • 5+ years' experience with Microsoft AD and Azure technologies
  • Experience with drafting security policy, procedure, and standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex security concepts to diverse audience

T he pay range for this position is $80,100 - $134,400 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
