The Underwriter II or III supports the Healthcare team at an advanced level through underwriting, analysis, and structuring recommendations for healthcare portfolios.
Identifies, gathers, and reviews financial information to determine borrower risk ratings and appropriate loan structuring.
Assesses and communicates risks within new and existing Healthcare accounts. Provides service and support for both associates and clients, assisting in customer calls and may assist in identifying cross-sales opportunities to facilitate lending activities.
Responsibilities The Senior Analyst / Associate will support the HRE MOB UW team with analyzing and underwriting new real estate transactions with a focus on the Medical Office Building ( MOB ) asset class.
Assist with the preparation of property level analysis, pre-screens and final credit approvals for new financing opportunities The position requires a candidate to have strong credit and analytical skills that can multi-task and work in a high paced team environment.
- Involved in every stage of the transaction including the following : market research, due diligence, presenting to credit, structuring and legal documentation Assist with special projects, audits, and other ad hoc duties Will interact with Originators and Credit Management, support Senior Underwriters, Portfolio Management, Operations and Closing teams, and collaborate with peers Qualifications Underwriter II Required Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis OR High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis Preferred Education : Bachelors Preferred Area of Study : Real Estate, Finance, Accounting Master's Degree Experience : Finance, Banking Skill(s) : Completion of a formal credit training program preferred 1+ years experience in CRE finance with focus on credit underwriting;
- experience underwriting MOBs and Healthcare Real Estate a plus Strong analytical, financial modeling, written and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel;

Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
