Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role :
- Process bi-monthly payrolls, including multi-state payrolls.
- Review and approve weekly timesheets, resolving coding issues.
- Assist HR with payroll system updates.
- Submit payroll reports for leadership approval.
- Coordinate payroll funding with accounting.
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal tax laws for all payroll reports and taxes.
- Provide weekly timesheet and labor reports.
- Manage month-end close for timesheets, payroll, and benefits.
Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist Role :
- 2+ years of recent experience in payroll processing, including multi-state payrolls.
- Proficiency with Deltek and Paylocity systems.
- Strong understanding of State and Federal tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with HR and accounting teams.
