Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Machining Electrician to support our operations. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on machining and post-casting equipment. The ideal candidate has strong experience in industrial electrical work, particularly in environments with CNC machines, grinders, lathes, and robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Install and maintain electrical systems on machining equipment, including motors, sensors, control panels, and power supplies.

Diagnose and repair electrical issues on CNC machines, grinders, lathes, and other post-casting equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and related components.

Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and company safety standards.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and maintenance logs.

Assist with system modifications, retrofits, and electrical upgrades for older machinery.

Work collaboratively with maintenance teams, machine operators, and engineering staff.

Follow Lockout / Tagout procedures and other safety protocols in high-risk environments.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED

Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience

Strong understanding of electrical systems in machining environments (CNC, robotics, etc.)

Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, AC / DC motors, and industrial automation systems

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Knowledge of lockout / tagout and electrical safety procedures

Comfortable working in harsh industrial environments (heat, dust, vibration, etc.)

Preferred :

Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Electricity, Mechatronics, or related field

Experience working in a foundry or heavy manufacturing facility

Electrical license or journeyman certification (where applicable)

Familiarity with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Fanuc controls

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand, bend, and climb for extended periods

Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Work in hot, noisy, and dusty environments with proper PPE

Comfortable working in confined spaces or elevated platforms as needed
