Job Title : Zuora Billing - Solution Architect

The Zuora Solution Architect serves as subject matter expert on Zuora Billing projects, responsible for client delivery, proposals, new business opportunities, and knowledge management.

The Solution Architect works closely with the Product Owner and Technical Architect to understand requirements and enable the authoring / development of quality solutions that meet the requirements.

Responsibilities :

  • Serves as the technical leader for Zuora Billing projects for clients
  • Translates business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce Billing platform
  • Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions. Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility and functionality
  • Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to developers
  • Follow and understand new Zuora product and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions
  • Provide expertise during sales efforts to estimate the technical level of effort
  • Present to potential clients during sales efforts and be able to pull together quick proof of concepts as needed
  • Demonstrate thought leadership through publishing, public speaking and client presentations
  • Coach and mentor junior technical and functional team members
  • Ability to lead or participate in technical integration discussions and design workshops
  • Ability to create high level architecture diagrams that you can relate to both technical and business minded individuals
  • Ability to optimize product configurations to match the clients billing requirements
  • Provide guidance and best in class billing strategies to the client
  • Act as the solution owner during the project, ensuring the projects scope and outcomes are on track

  • Travel Requirement : Up to 50%

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in digital transformation, strategic leadership, technology implementation, and value realization within the realms of SaaS & AI applications, rationalization, governance, and modern, secure, and scalable architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change in a dynamic environment, particularly within the context of evolving technology architecture.
  • The ability to think strategically, align digital initiatives with business goals, and drive positive outcomes by developing a secure, scalable architecture.
  • 5+ end-to-end Zuora Billing implementations
  • Minimum 5 years of Zuora platform experience
  • Complete understanding of data models and product / pricing master data management
  • Knowledge of the full billing cycle including : Invoicing, Invoice Templates, Payment and Payment Gateway configuration.

Revenue Recognition, Financial Reporting, and integration into the ERP system

  • Experience in B2B or B2C E-Commerce is highly desired
  • Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills
  • Prior experience as a Solution Architect or similar role on 3+ projects that were at least 6 months in duration
  • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire with in first several months

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range for the Principal Architect role is $122,000- $225,000.

For the Senior Delivery Principal Architect role, the base salary pay range is $140,000- $258,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.

The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
