We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The role involves working within the finance industry, specifically focusing on accounts payable tasks.
The successful candidate will be a key team member, responsible for handling invoice entries, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining customer credit records.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices
- Check invoice entries for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies that may arise
- Maintain precise records of customer credit information and update them as necessary
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure they are up-to-date and take necessary action when required
- Provide assistance in resolving customer inquiries related to their accounts
- Utilize accounts payable skills to contribute to the efficient operation of the finance department.
- Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discretely
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Understanding of applicable accounts payable procedures and standards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) software programs is a plus.
