Interior Designer Company : Robert Kaner Interior Design Category : Interior Design Location : New York Job Description Robert Kaner Interior Design seeks a highly talented individual with at least 5 years of residential interior design experience to join our collegial team of interior designers and take on substantial responsibilities across an exciting range of residential projects in the New York area and nationally.
We create sophisticated interiors through a considered analytic and aesthetic approach to design, developing a unique design language for each project reflective of the client, context and lifestyle.
Our projects typically involve substantial construction and a significant proportion of custom furnishings.
Job Requirements a degree in Interior Design or Architecture, together with extensive work experience in high-end residential interior design managing complex projects
a creative and thoughtful approach to interior design across a range of styles and sensibilities
excellent capabilities in project management, budgeting, organization, scheduling and procurement
thorough knowledge of resources for materials, finishes, textiles, furniture, and lighting
excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawings; Adobe Photoshop; Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint; and rendering
exceptional oral and written communications and presentation skills with clients, vendors and colleagues,
commitment to superb client service
experience in designing and overseeing the production of custom furnishings and millwork, including review of shop drawings
consistent attention to detail, precision and quality
ability to balance multiple projects and demands within a fast-paced work environment
ability to work collaboratively
ability to mentor and develop team members
