Role
Individuals in this position support evaluation of the safety and / or toxicity of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products by ensuring the health and welfare of research animals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs or assists in performing standard animal husbandry procedures, including (but not limited to) :
- Receiving and housing research animals
- Feeding and caring for animals.
- Cleaning animal rooms, cages, equipment as appropriate
- Keeping appropriate inventory levels of needed supplies ( g., feed, bedding, etc.)
- Working with colleagues to maintain the animal facility in the best condition at all times to ensure the health and welfare of study
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Educational Requirements : High School / GED or above (AS & BA / BS)
- Prior experience is beneficial, but not required for entry-level positions.
