Service Technician
Description :
Action Overhead Garage Door, a family-owned and operated business since 1980, seeks a Service Technician to join our team.
This role involves installing residential and commercial garage doors, door openers, and keyless entry systems in both new and existing buildings.
We offer a starting hourly rate of $20-$28 (depending on experience) and a great benefits package.

Requirements :
Essential Functions :
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Maintain clean and safe job sites.
- Prepare materials with warehouse staff.
- Coordinate with the Service Coordinator for scheduling.
- Understand product manuals before installation.
- Review work orders for accuracy.
- Ensure the truck is ready for daily operations.
- Record installation details on work orders.
- Promote a positive company image.
- Participate in safety programs.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Learn new products and follow managerial directions.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong work ethic and customer service skills
- Clean driving record and ability to pass drug screening and background check.
- Mechanical skills with hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Proficient in English
Work Conditions :
- Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Travel around the Metro Area, including the Twin Cities.
- Use standard installation tools.
- Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and heavy traffic conditions.
Physical Requirements :
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands.
- Lifting and moving up to 80 pounds regularly.
