Boston University's Office of Technology Development (OTD) seeks a Director, Faculty Entrepreneurship to facilitate and support the creation of investigator-led entrepreneurial enterprises deriving from research ventures and discoveries.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director, Faculty Entrepreneurship is responsible for managing the programs, processes, and resources that support researcher-driven creation of entrepreneurial enterprises.
Responsibilities include :
- Developing and delivering educational programs that support technology commercialization in collaboration with Innovate@BU.
- Management of the Ignition Award gap-funding program.
- Managing occupancy of the Business Innovation Center in collaboration with the Photonics Center.
- Directing two full-time employees and paid consultants that run, administer, and measure programs / events that connect our researchers with the talent, resources, and funds necessary to advance their ventures.

Master's degree with 8+ years of experience required; preferably with direct experience as a founder, investor, or early employee of a new company.
