About The Position
Job Title : Operating Room Nurse Job Specialty : Operating Room / Scrub, Circulation & Scrub, Pediatric Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 36 hrs / week, Day / Evening, 12-hour shifts : 0730-2000 rotating into 1030 - 2300 with on-call responsibilities Guaranteed Hours : 36 Experience : Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
Clinical Operating Room experience and pediatric nursing experience, including experience in a PICU setting. Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital is required.
License : Valid nursing license from the applicable state or compact license from permanent address state. Certifications : BLS and PALS certified through American Heart Association Must-Have : Permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of Madison;
2 references from recent work environment / assignments (supervisor or manager only) Job Description : Communicate and coordinate Operating Room activities to ensure efficiency in surgical case progression and turnover.
- Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient care within established policies, procedures, and standards, tailoring care to perioperative patients regardless of complexity.
- Travelers are expected to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age or based on competency skills / experience.
- May have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on staffing needs and / or different locations within the organization.
