Summary :
The Boys & Girls Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual for the part-time position of Youth Development and Transportation Assistant.
This role involves supporting the organization's youth development programs and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of participants to and from various activities.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and have experience in coordinating transportation logistics.
Eligibility and willingness to drive a 12-passenger van are essential qualifications.
Responsibilities :
- Youth Development :
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of youth development programs and activities.
- Engage with club members to create a positive and inclusive environment that fosters personal and academic growth.
- Collaborate with other staff members to design age-appropriate activities that promote character development, leadership skills, and healthy lifestyles.
- Transportation Coordination :
- Coordinate daily transportation schedules to ensure the safe and timely arrival and departure of participants.
- Drive a 12-passenger van to transport participants to various activities.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation-related information, including routes, passenger lists, and any incidents.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and adhere to all transportation regulations and standards.
- Communication and Collaboration :
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and club members regarding program details, schedules, and any changes related to transportation.
- Collaborate with other Boys & Girls Club staff members to align transportation logistics with overall program goals and objectives.
- Safety and Compliance :
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures during transportation activities.
- Stay informed about and comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to youth transportation.
Requirements : Qualifications :
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- Previous experience working with youth in a recreational or educational setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Eligible and willing to drive a 12-passenger van.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- 21 years or older.
