Certification Details
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
Job Details
- 75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE / RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS
- Time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval; Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved
- 13 weeks assignment, 2 years experience current required in an 18 plus bed telemetry / progressive care unit required
- Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment
- Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
- Will float to med / surg, ICU to care for tele patients boarding in ICU, and ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Traveler must pass the BCA testing during first week of assignment
Job Requirements
- Please only submit candidates with an active NM or compact license
- At least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist / competency assessment
- 18 plus bed telemetry / progressive care unit experience
Schedule Information
- 12 hour day shift position
- Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs
- On call, weekends and holidays required
- Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location
- Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts
- Ratios 1 : 4 will go 1 : 5 / 6 if needed based on acuity of patients
Unit Specific Information

Additional Details
- Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position
- The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico
