The City of Blair, NE is hiring a Finance and Utilities Administrative Assistant to join our Administration Department! This full-time, non-exempt position is a key role in supporting utility billing, financial processing, and customer service functions at City Hall. What You'll Do :
Process and mail utility bills, receive payments, and provide customer service in person and over the phone.
Coordinate utility work orders with the Utilities Department and maintain accurate customer accounts.
Provide courteous and professional customer service at the front desk and over the phone regarding utility accounts and payments.
Assist in preparing claims, creating checks, and generating invoices while following established policies and procedures.
Assist with creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Compile reports, maintain databases, and support daily office operations.
What You Bring :
Experience : Minimum of four (4) years' experience in a financial role with administrative support responsibilities required.
Skills : Strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Licensing : Valid driver's license required at time of hire.
