The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University invites applications for full-time teaching positions in healthcare management and administration to commence September 1, 2022 (or sooner if possible).
The School offers an undergraduate major in Health Administration (BS) and a CAHME accredited Master in Health Administration (MHA) residence program.
Open positions are non-tenure track positions at the Associate or Assistant Professor levels with multi-year appointments (an initial 3 year contract is common).
Applicants should have both instructional and practice experience, and a commitment to exceptional quality within a competency-based program.
Responsibilities :
Successful applicants will staff both undergraduate and graduate level courses in more than one content area, including among others : Operations, IT, Finance and Financial Management, Human Resources, Artificial Intelligence, Corporate Compliance, Marketing, or others.
Courses are offered in a range of modalities beyond the traditional setting including both synchronous and asynchronous
remote and hybrid formats.
Expectations of teaching faculty includes :
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and advising.
- Responsible for mentoring and directing the coordination and execution of Internships and Practicums within both the undergraduate and graduate health administration programs.
- Involvement in curricular design and course development
- Participation in current applied or basic research in a health administration field and / or a record of exemplar practitioner experience.
Applicants with advanced certifications (FACHE) are encouraged to apply.

A proven record of successful leadership in a health
administration profession is considered an asset. Only applicants who have valid authorization to work in the United States will be reviewed.
Certifications / Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Successful candidates will haves
- A strong record of excellence in teaching, preferably in both online and classroom environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A record of success in advising and mentoring students, and in participating in departmental and / or university committees.
- An ability to maintain active practical engagement in their discipline or a research agenda allowing them to remain current and relevant in their field.
