As a Walmart Distinguished Engineer, you will spearhead the development of the next generation of payroll systems for over 2 million associates. In this role, you will have the opportunity to set the technical direction for a team that integrates with 50+ systems to ensure seamless, accurate, and timely payments for all associates, while eliminating defects and manual touchpoints. Responsibilities :

Set the technical direction for multiple teams and systems, and disambiguate large complex problems at Walmart scale to enable the team to deliver.

Collaborate with engineering and business leadership to align technology and business priorities.

Establish and own both business as well as well operational excellence goals, and help define the path to goal achievement.

Invest in creating engineering leaders and set up culture of engineering excellence for multiple teams.

Collaborate with engineering leadership across Walmart Global Tech to influence global best practices and be a spokesperson for the org.
