Overview of the Senior Accountant Role :
- Manage commission payables process, including calculation, verification, and processing of agent commissions in adherence to established timelines and accuracy standards.
- Oversee commission deposits and reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.
- Lead efforts for accounting cleanup, including reconciliation of accounts, identification and resolution of discrepancies, and implementation of corrective actions to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Ad-hoc tasks as requested
Preferred Experience :
- BS. or above degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
- Proven accounting experience, with a focus on commission payables, revenue recognition, and vendor management within the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Salesforce, NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
