Amerit Fleet Solutions , one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire two skilled Reefer Mechanic / Technician .

The Refrigeration Mechanic / Technician will be responsible for timely repair and maintenance of medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

The Technician will require a high level of proficiency and working knowledge working on Reefer units, PMs and A / C.

Compensation : Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!

1st Shift : Tues- Sat, 6 : 00AM to 2 : 30PM

2nd Shift : Tues- Sat, 2ND shift, 2 : 00PM- 10 : 30PM

What the Reefer Mechanic / Technician role looks like :

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to Reefer vehicles
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation

What our ideal candidate looks like :

• Experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and / or Carrier)
• 608 / 609 Certifications required
• Experience with PMs and A / C
• Must have valid Driver’s License
• Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
• Proficient computer skills : knowledge of Excel, Word and Email
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)

Working conditions :

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
• Ability to move and heavy objects.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
