  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1570–$1680\n
  • Assignment Length : 13 weeks\n
  • Location : Florence, SC 29505 (South Carolina nursing jobs)\n
  • Unit : Cardiac Stepdown Unit\n
  • Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am)\n
  • Total Hours : 36 hours per week\n
  • Holiday Rotation : Required\n
  • Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend\n
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 4\n
  • Charting System : Epic EMR\n
  • Scrub Color : Royal blue\n
  • Parking : Free on-site parking\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active South Carolina RN license or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be in hand before start)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience\n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required\n
  • Certifications : ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS preferred\n
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred\n
  • Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs\n
  • Willingness to work during hurricane season (June–November) if assignment overlaps\n
  • Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)\n
  • Locals within 60 miles not accepted\n
  • First-time travelers not accepted\n

    • \n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac stepdown setting\n
  • Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage patients post-cardiac procedures, including cardiac surgery, angiogram, and TPA care\n
  • Administer blood products, manage arterial and central lines, and provide ventilator and tracheostomy care\n
  • Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, titrate insulin drips, and respond to rapid response / code situations\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
  • Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR\n
  • Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled\n
