Property & Property Casualty Counsel – Insurance Industry
We're seeking an experienced Property & Casualty (P&C) Counsel to join a dynamic legal team supporting a growing insurance organization. This is a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with underwriting, claims, compliance, and executive leadership to ensure legal and regulatory excellence across all P&C lines.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic legal counsel on property and casualty insurance matters, including policy drafting, regulatory compliance, and product development
- Advise on claims handling, risk mitigation, coverage disputes, and litigation management
- Monitor evolving regulatory frameworks and ensure company policies remain compliant with state and federal laws
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to review marketing materials, policy language, and third-party agreements
- Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries, examinations, and filings
What You Bring
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction5+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on P&C insurance lawIn-depth understanding of state regulatory environments and filings (e.g., rate and form filings)Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear business guidanceStrong judgment, communication, and problem-solving skillsWhy Join
