Document Delivery Specialist

Picks up and delivers various documents, mail, packages, lab specimens, equipment, materials, supplies, and other items within the organization and institutional clients. Ensures timely, safe, and accurate delivery. Must be able to operate vehicles in all weather and driving conditions. This job requires flexibility, reliability, and organization.

Essential Functions

• Safely picks up & delivers various documents, mail, packages, lab specimens, equipment, materials, supplies, and other items from appropriate locations in a timely manner
• Abides by all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and training. Represents Corewell Health in a professional manner upholding our core values of compassion, collaboration, courage, and curiosity
• Follows appropriate protocol and procedures for accident / incident occurrences. Follow guidebooks outlined in each vehicle and notify leadership immediately
• Interacts with clients in a professional manner providing excellent customer service. Relays client service problems to the attention of supervisor
• Responsible for maintaining and completing daily log
• Ensures vehicle is ready for the following route by filling up the gas tank and returning keys and equipment to designated area. Keep vehicles clean, organized, and prepared for the next driver to utilize. Advise Supervisor of any repair needs
• Utilizes technology to best provide services to customers. Responds to urgent dispatch requests based on business and customer needs
