Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - School - Contract

Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) that is licensed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of NY to work in the specialty area of School.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Assesses, diagnoses, screens, language, speech, and swallowing disorders; interprets assessment findings to student and familyDevelops, implements, amends and plans treatment programs that address communication, AAC, oral motor and feeding needs of students based on the individual needsConducts intensive group and individual speech, language and feeding therapy sessions.

Implements plans appropriately, establishes / maintains accepting climate for expression of feelings, uses creativity and flexibility in session / task designCommunicates and collaborates with the student, and liaising with their family members, medical professional, therapists and teachers to design effective treatment plans.

Documents progress on daily session notes, quarterly progress notes, and yearly evaluations and updating of IEPsDemonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient populationOther duties assigned"Minimum Requirements include : · Masters Degree from an accredited university in Speech Language Pathology· Current NYSED registration as a Speech / Language Pathologist required.
