Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its “Top 100 Places to Work.” Overview : Position : Occupational Therapist (OT) Department : Rehab South Hours / Shift : PRN / Weekday and Weekend Shifts Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City South, is a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital located in the southern part of Oklahoma City at 7900 Mid America Blvd. Our rehabilitation hospital provides care for patients 18 and over recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. Patients receive 3 hours of Therapy every 5 out of 7 days they are at our facility. We aim to provide the most optimal setting for rehabilitation and recovery. To achieve this goal, we offer the following amenities : 41,000 square feet of a modern, naturally sunlit environment to drastically enhance our patients, families, and staff experience. 36 private rooms Large modern equipped Therapy Gyms including a EKSO Skeleton NR A complete pharmacy and in-house dialysis capabilities A retrofitted “Smart Car” (real car) for mobility therapy A large therapy courtyard with multiple therapy options in a park like setting A furnished Assisted Daily Living apartment with a fully functioning kitchen and bath A large dining hall with buffet line and outdoor patio for patients, physicians, co-workers, and family to enjoy. A multitude of family gathering and meeting areas Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential. Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and / or coordinating activities in patient care programs. Qualifications : Education : Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Licensure : Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.
