National Sales Manager
The National Sales Managerfor the Industrial Markets Group will be responsible for developingand executing market strategies to support growth objectives.
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing this role isideally located within the assigned territory or in the Chicagoarea.
Responsibilities
Sales and Management Skills
Directcoordinate and manage all sales activities within the IndustrialMarkets Group in alignment with corporate sales and marketingplans.
Identify and capitalize on market opportunitiesthrough effective business planning.
Identify newproduct and feature opportunities to enhance competitiveness andrefine marketing strategies.
Collaborate with ProductDevelopment and Marketing teams to create sales tools andcollateral.
Analyze sales data to formulate effectivestrategies for the market segment / territory.
Achievemaximum sales volume and market share within profitabilitytargets.
Coordinate with internal support sales groupsto ensure cohesive operations.
Negotiate and finalizecustomer contracts with support from management and legalresources.
Interpersonal Skills :
Collaborate across departments to achieve departmental andorganizational goals.
Coordinate resources to drive andclose sales with new and existing accounts.
Resolvecustomer and sales representative issues promptly.
Budgets and Reporting :
Maintain highstandards of quality accuracy and process consistency in planningand forecasting.
Set sales force representative anddistributor quotas and provide guidance to meet targets.
Education Training and Trends :
Developtraining programs for continuous improvement of salesrepresentatives and distributors.
Stay informed aboutcustomer market and technology trends affecting businessopportunities.
Participate in industry associations tostrengthen relationships and industry knowledge.
Upholdand promote organizational mission statement and values to internaland external stakeholders.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in business ortechnical discipline or equivalent work experience; 10 years ofdirect work experience preferred.
Minimum of 5 yearsexperience in industrial sales / marketing focusing on capitalequipment.
Experience managing independent salesrepresentative organizations is advantageous.
Stronginterpersonal and leadership skills with technicalaptitude.
Excellent verbal and written communicationskills.
Outstanding organizational skills withmeticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
